Leadership Academy offers five day camps to choose from in Nashville, TN that connect children to nature, makes friends and develops social skills for children ages 6-17. We believe that play and outdoor exploration increases creativity, confidence, social intelligence and grit. Our goal is to get children outside, exploring, learning, playing and having fun so that they develop a strong sense of self and a deeper connection to nature. Our camps are Leadership Academy Camp at Warner Park, Camp Bells Bend Beaman, Nashville Sail Camp, Mountain Bike Camp, and Teen Leadership Adventure.
Leadership Academy Camp at Warner Park (ages 6-12) loves connecting kids with nature! Every day at Camp is filled with imaginative play, exploring in the creek, seeing local wildlife, building forts, making crafts, and forming friendships! Leadership Academy Camp at Warner Park is where your child develops a true love and affinity for the natural world and will feel like they belong in it.
Camp Bells Bend Beaman (ages 6-13) is an outdoor adventure day camp that forms friendships and a love of nature. Our campers learn outdoor skills, such a fire-building, campfire cooking, using hand-tools, setting up a tent, bird watching and more. These beautiful parks offer access to pristine creeks and woods, plus archery and rock climbing! Your child will love spending their days outside with their new camp friends, and you’ll love their newfound independence and confidence.
Nashville Sail Camp teaches sailing at Percy Priest Lake based on US Sailing Level 1 instruction in week-long sessions. Along with boat navigation, safety, and points of sail, your child will learn valuable problem solving, creative thinking techniques and teamwork. Campers spend their days in a group of peers, with caring camp staff and certified instructors to learn to sail with plenty of hands-on sailing experience!
Teen Leadership Adventure teaches principles of leadership through two unique and fun programs, Leaders in Training (13-16) and Counselors in Training (15-17). Under the direction and support from the Teen Mentor, Teen Leaders participate in camp activities, at a leader level, learning both advanced skills and how to teach and talk about beginning skills. Teen Leaders will learn to be a role model to younger campers, lead games and songs and complete a service project with their peers while journaling about their experience. Being a Teen Leader can be a transformational journey that takes teens to the next level of their leadership development. Have fun, make friends and learn Leadership Skills at camp. This program takes place at Camp Warner Park and Nashville Sail Camp.
